Frank Kendralla > This image is from day one of the 3 day walk in Cleveland. The survivor cheer (my term) and when a few stories were told why folks were walking... Yup, it was a tough time to take pictures... There was this watery stuff that kept getting on my glasses that made it tough to take a picture. :-) Over 2.8 million was raised at this walk. Go walkers!
Frank Kendralla > This was taken at Thistledown in Cleveland, Oh. After the walkers from the 3 Day walk were on the road, I walked over to the track and a few riders were practicing. This was taken quick (I did not want to get too far behind the walkers) and did not change lens and utilized the 17-50. I attempted to capture the motion blur and keep the rider in focus...
Frank Kendralla > The early morning warm up for over 1100 participants of the Susan G. Komen 3 Day walk for the search for Breast Cancer Cure. Workers were at the location before 0400 and most of the participants arrived before 0530 to sign-in for the walk. The walk will cover > 60 miles over 3 days in Cleveland, Ohio.

More pictures and commentary will be posted over the weekend.

Go Walkers!!! :-) My sister is one of the walkers. Our mom is a cancer "overcomer". (1Jn 2:14, 1Jn 4:4)
Frank Kendralla > A different perspective of one of the falls at the zoo. It is very easy to tell, but I enjoy taking pictures of water. I am not sure why since I am not a fan of swimming. :-)
Frank Kendralla > The original picture was taken at the Pittsburgh Zoo... I modified this in lightroom and cs2. I converted the tree to a B & W image in lightroom then modified the sky in Photoshop. This is an experiment on my part... all comments are welcome! :-)
Frank Kendralla > When we were walking at the zoo, I saw this and thought immediately of the song from Sesame Street; "One of these things doesn't belong here... " This is the first time I saw a peacock up close and was amazed at it's size.
Frank Kendralla > This is a different version of the same water fall taken at the Pittsburgh Zoo. However, in this shot I "played" with the shutter speed and was able to create an effect that caused the water to "look" like a spine. I converted it to B & W to enhance the lines.
Frank Kendralla > This was taken hand-held at the Pittsburgh Zoo. I leaned against something solid to reduce the movement on my part. The lines caught my attention immediately. I "played" a little with clarity in Lightroom to bring out the lines within the rocks. I was not able to get too many shots at the zoo due to attempting to protect the camera from the light rain and people.
Frank Kendralla > In between summer storms, I ran to the park and took this image with a very slow shutter speed. I utilized a polarizer to impact the overall effect. I thought of entering this for the LPS contest but...
