Frank Kendralla > This image was taken along the Mississippi River close to sunset. The lines of the scene were very striking and when converted to B & W brought out the strong contrast of the scene. Other images of downtown Memphis TN are on the site. Thanks for viewing! :-)
Frank Kendralla > This is one of many images from Crystal Grotto in Memphis, TN. (Cemetery) I took these while on a business trip to the city. Other images are on the site in a collection "Crystal Grotto".

The place is breath taking. I could have spent days taking photos. (A friend from the area suggested the location and was kind enough to give a "tour".)

During the few hours I was at the location there were at least 3-4 pro photographers doing wedding shoots at Crystal Grotto. This is a photographers dream.

This was done very late into the evening and was hand held.
Frank Kendralla > This is one of a handful I took that I entitled reflections. Many of the aircraft produced great reflections of the surrounding scene.
Frank Kendralla > This image was taken at the Pittsburgh Airshow 2007. They put on a great show (as well as the other pilots).
Frank Kendralla > This was part of the opening ceremony for the Pittsburgh Airshow 2007. Other images from the opening ceremony and from the airshow can be found on my site.
Frank Kendralla > Happy Fathers Day (USA Holiday) Tell your family and friends this is what you want for Father's Day... This Nikon 400mm f/2.8 lens can be had for a measly $6500 used. This does not count the device to hold the 35 pounds of glass nor the $300 polarizer. I was taking pictures at the Pittsburgh Airshow when I looked over and Paul (I did not know him at the time) walked up with a cart and out of the cart came this monster of a lens. I felt like crawling under a rock with my measly 70-300. He was a great guy to talk with and he shared great tips on taking pix of jets. He had it mounted on a Nikon D2x which seemed small compared to the lens.

I took a few pictures with the camera and lens and will tell you it is a science and art to get one good shot with this monster. He produced many great images.

I have many other shots but this one seemed to fit the bill for "lens lust". :-)
Frank Kendralla > This is a shot of the FedEx Express Nascar touring model. The strong color and lines caught my attention. The original image had a pole that would appear coming out of the top of the engine. I cloned it out to remove the distraction.
Frank Kendralla > This image I added the text and took it to dinner with the Thunderbird pilots to get their signature. The plan is to "raffle" it off for a United Way donation we have going on at work.
Frank Kendralla > Now these birds are tough to catch. :-)

One of many from the practice session at the Pittsburgh Air Show. Thunderbirds flying over Pittsburgh. So many fun pictures, I have enough for the next 400 days :-)...
