Frank Kendralla > The winter was harsh with over 20 inches of snow but it filled the ground with the nutrients to bring forth tremendous color in all the trees. This lavender tree is producing beautiful buds of color. Thank you Lord for spring!
Frank Kendralla > Sunset from our backyard in Chippewa. It was one of the prettiest we ever saw from our home. I nearly missed capturing the image as we stood and watched the beauty unfold before our eyes. This image is from my Nikon 70-300 vr standing in our backyard. Although the image is striking, it does not represent the awe we felt witnessing it in person.
Frank Kendralla > Every year this beautiful flower emerges after a long harsh winter. This is taken with my "new" Nikon 70-300 vr hand held while lying on the ground.
Frank Kendralla > The trees are in full bloom and the bees are having fun! One of the first images with my "new lens", the Nikon 70-300vr. This is hand held at 300mm. Without VR, the bee would not be as "sharp". This was taken against a background of trees and they are all "blurred out" which was the goal.
Frank Kendralla > Part 3 of my rant! :-)
This is a "small" capture of the damage done by careless individuals. A few acres of property next to us was damaged by fire. This is a result of a few individuals trespassing on a neighboring property (12 acres of beutiful land) and starting a "campfire" and running away when it got out of control. They did not call authorities but ran as a bunch of cowards. My wife saw the smoke coming up over the trees and called for help. Three local fire departments responded and prevented it from causing damage to more property or homes north a few acres north of the fire. More images of the damage is in my folder called hOw rUde.
Frank Kendralla > Part 2 of my rant! :-)
It is a shame hOw rUde folks can be and will destroy another person's property.
Frank Kendralla > hOw rUde! I hope this is taken in context. This is a small sample of the trash we find on our property. We live "in the country" and own approximately 4 acres of great land. However, people have "trashed" the property and will go out of their way to drive off the main road to dump "their" trash. The earth is a beautiful place, why do people trash it?
Frank Kendralla > This is from a few weekends ago. My daughter's Rottweiler, Boss, loves to play in the snow. He is an amazing dog and loves to play with kids. He is still a puppy weighing in at ninety pounds.
Frank Kendralla > Another winter storm hit the area the past two days followed by an amazing sun to shine on the snow!
